No little boy should have a broken heart. Our baby boy, Aslan, was born with a very complex heart condition called Heterotaxy Syndrome. It is a rare birth defect in which heart or other organs are formed with some or several defects with arrangements different from normal human anatomy. In Heterotaxy every child is different from the other in regards to the severity of defects. In addition, organs such as the stomach, intestines, liver and lungs may be in abnormal places in the chest and abdomen.
Aslan requires a complex biventricular repair (repairing both ventricles, AVSD, VSD & ASD) in addition left ventricle to aorta baffle will be created along with right ventricular to pulmonary artery will be reconstituted with a conduit. This surgery is vital for his survival and can only be performed at Boston Children’s Hospital in Massachusetts, US.
Having no health insurance makes Aslan’s situation grave. Please consider helping to cover the costs of this necessary surgery. Aslan loves to smile at strangers, sing and dance whenever he feels like it. He is the light of our lives— we pray that we can give him a bright future soon.To help Aslan, please donate here: Donation for Aslan
